Every now and then I encounter RAD people so why not shed a few watts of internet light on them?

So here’s Musician John Brodeur. He’s been music-ing for a while now. He has new solo album Little Hopes set to launch this Summer as well as a reissue of his decade-young first album Tiger Pop. Being a Pick Up Artist is all the rage, In fact I hear all the kids are doing it!  So I’ve decided to help you out. Yes, you may think Mystery is the pickiest artist of them all but he looks like woman. Instead follow MY steps to finally getting the girl of your dreams!

Scenario Number 1

You’re at the local sports bar sipping on your alcoholic beverage you spot a fine young woman. Brunette, nice eyes, slim, great legs. So what do you do? well hell, you make the approach, follow me.

walk up to her and tap her on the shoulder

You: Excuse me miss.

Girl: uh, yes?

You: Um, yes. Hey, are you new around here?

Girl: No.

You: Oh, okay.

girate your hips

Girl: I…

You: I can’t stop.

Scenario Number 2

You’re at the local Dunkin’ Donuts and you see this stunning blond bombshell walk in, she’s on her cellphone, this could be a challenge. Follow me and I’ll prove you wrong.

get behind her in line, be swift

You: Pardon me but do I know you?

Girl: stares at you, keeps talking on cellphone

You: Hey, let me buy you a coffee! how do you take yours?

Girl: orders her own coffee

You: I…

Girl: goes back to her SUV where here 6 year old daughter is waiting for a ride to soccer practice

well you fucked that one up didn’t you?

Scenario Number 3

You’re at Borders, score, nerdy chick with glasses comes in. Go for it!

you see her reading some  immanuel kant

You: Hey baby, I wouldn’t mind getting all up in that kant.

Girl: glares

You: hehe.

Girl: bursts out laughing haha that was brilliant. My name’s Cherrie what’s yours?

You: My name is insert name pleasure to meet you.

Girl: Hey I’ve seen you around town before, I didn’t know you were so funny!

You: Well, they say I am very charming haha

Girl: I guess you are! haha Hey, this may seem a little forward but what are you doing later tonight? would you like to go to a movie or something?

You: Um, yea, I’d love to

Girl: Perfect, here’s my number call me around 7ish

You: Great! (that was easy enough)

you walk out of the store and get hit by a car. Your injuries are fatal

Hey sorry, that’s life.

I think you’ve had enough advice for now.

Remember to get out there and sleep with any girl you can! cause if you don’t you’re gay!

I hate basketball.

Anyway. I’m writing here because I promised myself that I would. There’s a bit of things going on so I thought I would tell you about some of them. Read on if you please.

At the moment I’m taking a bit of a break from twitter, my repository of inflammatory comments and witty banter. I’m giving it up for lent yes, but also I was growing tired of my followers and their predictable chaos. I get it.  You’re a nerd, you like weird things, you wear wacky designs and you have a cat. You and everyone else on the internet. Nerd is the new slacker. I hate them both.

Music wise I haven’t done much. I like to collaborate with other musicians but lately I haven’t really been around any. So I’m doing my own thing with Kinderkat. Mostly to keep my writing from getting rusty. I rust easily. I’ve been listening to the Wombats lately.  I wish I had a pet wombat. Though I’m quite happy with my domesticated snow leopard.

I’m doing the days project because @am started doing it. And you know me, if someone jumps off a bridge I’m second in line. So I’m taking a photo every day for at least a year. Thankfully I have an iPhone to keep me lazy. Though, I do plan on weaning myself off the iPhone and using my real camera. I’ve been looking into the strobist way of life and am thinking of joining the crowd. I’ll try to obtain a few speedlights this spring and do some off-camera lighting. Photography is still a hobby for me . Which is great because I don’t worry about mistakes. I make a lot of mistakes. I feel weird calling it photography because I’m not exactly a photographer. Well, I don’t consider myself one. Let’s call it picture takin’ or soul stealin’.

I’m doing a website for a new Mexican club that’s starting up in town. Yes, I know, you hate Mexicans and the idea of them having a club. I’m not asking for your opinion, shut up and keep reading. I’m getting better at designing but I still struggle with the coding (see hatred of nerds). I’m doing a website for a friend. Really cool stuff. I don’t think I can talk about that right now. Let’s not talk about it right now.

That’s ‘what’s up’.  So I’m expecting you not to ask me this as I will refer to you to this very post if you do.

I’m rather happy at the moment. You should be too.

Friday Homework III: Read a freakin’ book.

No, really, sit your ass down and read a book. It doesn’t even have to be a good book. JEEZ.

Make Valentines Day cards by hand and hand them out to people you know. You don’t even have to like them.

Kind of a bummer that The Number Twelve looks like you had to break up. 9 years playing good olde fashioned rock and roll.It’s certainly an acquired taste, like blood sausage. Brilliant musicians and fun music. But all things end, and they certainly ended on a high note. And now a ton of videos after the jump

Look what I received in the mail today! Mark Perez @faceofbass sent me a real physical copy of this band Ransom’s album “Against the grain”. Ransom is a self described melodic metal band but holy shit do they kick you in the balls. I take back my melodic band stance, at least for this band.
